In recent years, the Brazilian Butt Lift has become one of the most popular aesthetic enhancement procedures. However, despite its popularity, and the amazing results patients have been able to attain with the BBL, may patients simply aren’t ready for invasive surgical measures. For those patients, the team at Goals Plastic Surgery now offer an amazing, non-surgical option known as the Sculptra butt lift. Find out how this amazing procedure works today.
What is the Sculptra Butt Lift?
A member of the dermal filler family, Sculptra is a PLLA or poly-l-lactic acid filler designed to provide non-invasive augmentation to the skin and other soft tissue. The Sculptra Butt Lift provides patients with a level of added fullness, volume, and overall improved contours along the backside – without the risks and long recovery period commonly associated with surgical butt lifts.
Initially designed to help patients restore lost facial volume associated with aging, Sculptra works by stimulating the production of vital skincare proteins like collagen and elastin, that are depleted as we age. Using the same principle, Sculptra injections can provide men and women with the same results to other areas of the body, including the buttocks.
Are You a Good Candidate for the Sculptra Butt Lift?
As with the traditional surgical butt lift or the BBL, the ideal candidate is an individual who is looking to add volume and fullness to their backside, while improving the overall shape and contours. Unlike the traditional BBL, the Sculptra butt lift does not require any incisions or surgical measures to be performed. And despite its effectiveness, the ideal candidate is someone who may not require the high level augmentation that can only be attained through surgery.
The best candidates for this procedure are individuals, anywhere from 20 to 50 years old, who are within an ideal weight range for their height and body type. In addition, the best candidates are those patients with a decent amount of skin laxity and in overall good health, mentally and physically. You must be realistic about your results and have realistic expectation of what is possible through a non-surgical butt lift.

The Procedure
The procedure is minimally invasive, and therefore does not require the patient to be “asleep”. To begin, generally, topical lidocaine is applied to the area to be injected. Once the skin is numbed, after about 30 minutes, Sculptra is injected to the upper buttock with very small needles. Depending on the desired level of augmentation, most patients require multiple treatment sessions – performed approximately, six weeks apart.
Recovery & Aftercare
Generally, after about 3 to 6 different sessions, patients should begin to notice added fullness, volume, and far more defined contours along their backside. Considering that there is minimal downtime, patients can generally return to their daily activities within a few days after the procedure. Light bruising and swelling is likely, but these marks should disappear within 7-10 days following each session. Although results can be noticed as early as six weeks after the treatments, the optimal outcome is not noticed until about six months after the procedure. As Sculptra is also known as a highly effective treatment, results can last anywhere from 18 months to as long as 2 years – with some patients having results lasts even longer!
