Just because a procedure is non-invasive, does not mean there won’t be side effects. The procedure does leave patients slightly bruised and slightly swollen, in addition to redness and sometimes peeling skin. In some cases, the bruising can be a lot, but it will pass in a few days to a week or so and is a small price to pay for the effects. The tiny recovery period is nothing compared to other treatments.
· How to Minimize Side Effects
Bruising is worsened by a few bad habits’ patients have before and after treatment. Before your treatment, to minimize your side effects, avoid – aspirin, NSAIDs, fish oil, alcohol consumption, and the following supplements garlic, ginkgo biloba, ginseng; this should be for about 10 days prior to your procedure. After, you should use topical arnica, bromelain, and take highdoses of Vitamin K.
· How Long Does it Last? And the “Undo” Buttons
The best thing about this treatment is that it will last anywhere from 6 months to a year, and that is when you can have another treatment. Another good thing is that because this is a HA-based dermal filler, you can use hyaluronidase to dissolve the effects of the injection and start again if you don’t like your results!
