Acne Treatment Secrets
No matter what age you are, acne is one of the most common and debilitative skincare issues around. While you might assume that acne treatment is only important for your youth and teenage years, the fact of the matte is that acne issues can continuously affect you well into your 30’s, 40’s and even your 50’s! A fact that few if any individuals are truly aware of. And that doesn’t just mean occasional spot treatments here and there, in fact, many individuals will suffer from continuously bothersome, cystic acne that will eventually lead to terrible skin infections and ever further down the line, leading to fairly untreatable acne scars. Now, for the most part, such acne issues aren’t the normal, and most every individual’s worst acne breakouts should be long gone before they enter their mid-20’s to their earl-30’s regardless – so the vast majority of patients should be fine. At Goals Plastic Surgery, while specializing in a wide variety of facial surgery procedures for anti-aging benefits, rarely if ever did any of these procedures focus on acne removal at all. However, aside from surgical treatments, the team at Goals does offer a number of vital treatments that can help restore the skin and provide patients with the acne removal they truly need. In addition to traditional acne removal, the Goals team is also focused on helping to remove unwanted acne scars using procedures such as PRP microneedling. As one of the effective acne scar removal methods, when you combine microneedling PRP therapy and the use of certain topicals and laser treatments, we can not only help patients to reduce the presence of unwanted live acne breakouts, but in addition, help to reduce and remove the later stage facial scars that develop due to long-term acne issues.
When it comes to acne treatment, the Goals Plastic Surgery offers a number of minimally-invasive treatment methods that can help patients to totally rid themselves of unwanted acne issues, while also helping to fortify the skin’s tone, texture and overall vibrance. Often, due to years of unwanted acne issues, patients will lose their youthful glow and vibrant appearance – as acne is a heavily unwanted skincare concern, that acts as an infection and saps the skin of its energized appearance – and leaves a surface full of dull, grey, dead skin cells. The fact is that years of clogged pores give rise to series of bumps, bacteria, dead skin, blemished and much more. And as we are able to open up these pores using a combination of chemical peels, with high-concentration alpha-hydroxy-acids, as well as deep pore cleansers to delve deeper into the skin’s surface and open up the once tight pores and eliminate the dead skin cells and bacteria that clogged them, we then will use certain scrubs and the use of laser skin resurfacing technology to exfoliate the outer layer of dull, dead skin cells. This is one of the best methods of acne removal, cleansing and ridding the skin of unwanted dead skin.
Unfortunately, over time, as acne issues are often left untreated, as with many individual’s faces, years of cystic, severe acne can leave behind unwanted acne scars all over the face. In order to combat such unwanted acne scars, it is vital that we use a specialized combination of procedures that not only help reduce the presence of existing acne scars, but to also help prevent any severe acne issues from developing at all. As we previously mentioned, the use of chemical peels, with high-concentration AHA’s offer a lot in terms of penetrating the inner layers of the patient’s skin cells, and helping to relieve the presence of unwanted scars, while also rebuilding and restoring the skin that’s left behind with newer, more vibrant skin.
In addition to using the combination of laser skin resurfacing and chemical peels, as time passes and the skin has some time to heel, we will generally recommend the use of PRP microneedling. A variation on traditional microneedling PRP therapy adds a far more effective, exponentially better method of treatment that just using a traditional version of microneedling PRP doesn’t require the use of ay foreign substances either, simply just your own natural stem cells found in your blood platelets. Just as with traditional microneedling, with we create a series of controlled micro-punctures along the skin’s surface, where the scar is located. Once that is completed, with PRP microneedling we will need to draw some of the patient’s blood, and using a centrifuge, we will separate the platelet-rich plasma cells from the other parts, and create a fully purified sample of blood plasma, loaded with stem cell growth factors. These blood platelets are then simply spread over the puncture sites, so as the blood platelets can enter into the holes in the skin and al over the skin’s surface. And while the body’s naturally restorative nature does its magic, it is exponentially bolstered by the addition of the PRP solution. At that point, the outer layer of the skin’s surface will be removed over time and be replaced by fresher, newer skin cells over time.
